Position Summary: IKAR, a highly acclaimed Jewish non-profit in Los Angeles, seeks an energetic, resourceful, and highly organized Development and Community Engagement Coordinator to support our development and membership apparatus. This role is perfect for someone who is outgoing and welcoming, detail-oriented, thrives in being a connector in an active, fast-paced environment, and loves being part of a purpose-driven team.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Membership Director to develop a strategy to enhance community members’ engagement by tracking membership commitments
• Implement a volunteer strategy including a stewardship process
• Support volunteers in new member engagement including delivering new member welcome baskets, coordinating welcome calls, and house parties
• Provide administrative support to the Membership Director for deliveries to members in times of joy and grief
• Support our annual Mishloah Manot (Purim Basket) process including basket design, volunteer coordination, routing, and deliveries
• Support the annual High Holy Days entrance card system, volunteers, and basket deliveries
• Work in the database to process membership transactions, organize member records, and follow up on membership pledges

Competencies and Qualifications:
• Ability to interact with all staff and community members with kindness and integrity
• Passion for IKAR’s mission and work.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Sterling organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage and track a wide variety of tasks in an organized and efficient manner
• Good sense of humor.
• IKAR requires all employees to be current on CDC approved Covid vaccinations unless a reasonable accommodation is requested and approved.

Duration: Full time non-exempt; includes some Friday nights, Saturday mornings, occasional holiday and evening hours
Salary & Benefits: Pay range is between $55,000-$60,000 with a generous benefits package including full health, vision, and dental coverage.
