Synagogue Office Administrative Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient operation in our synagogue office environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing event calendars
- Answer and direct emails and phone calls in a professional, warm and welcoming manner
- Greet visitors and provide them with necessary information
- Assist in resolving customer inquiries or issues
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
Skills
- Knowledge of Jewish lifecycle events and Jewish religious culture
- Strong typing skills and familiarity with basic computer knowledge, photocopiers, office software, including: databases, word processing, and basic desktop publishing
- Experience in administrative skills is advantageous
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and handling phone systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
