Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient operation in our synagogue office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing event calendars
  • Answer and direct emails and phone calls in a professional, warm and welcoming manner
  • Greet visitors and provide them with necessary information
  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries or issues
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

Skills

  • Knowledge of Jewish lifecycle events and Jewish religious culture
  • Strong typing skills and familiarity with basic computer knowledge, photocopiers, office software, including: databases, word processing, and basic desktop publishing
  • Experience in administrative skills is advantageous
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette and handling phone systems
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
