About Us:

WestchesterJewish is a new community initiative dedicated to promoting and strengthening Jewish life in Westchester NY. We are a collection of community members working on building new online resources to serve the local Jewish community. We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to lead our online presence and engagement efforts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Social Media Manager to manage our company's presence on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and writing compelling copy for blog posts and updates about our organization, as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • · Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase engagement and online presence
  • · Create and write high-quality content (text, images, videos) for social media platforms, blog posts, and email newsletters
  • · Manage and maintain our company's social media presence on various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • · Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner
  • · Analyze engagement metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on the effectiveness of our social media efforts
  • · Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content and messaging that aligns with our organization's mission and goals
  • · Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing

Requirements:

  • · 3+ years of experience in social media management or a related field (e.g. marketing, communications)
  • · Proven track record of creating engaging content and growing online presence
  • · Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • · Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • · Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) and ability to interpret data
  • · Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • · Experience working in a non-profit organization or Jewish community setting
  • · Knowledge of Hebrew language and cultural context (a plus!)
