Infant Teacher Assistant or Lead - based on credentials
We are seeking an enthusiastic toddler teacher to guide a classroom of young children in various educational activities, including arts and crafts, free play, storytelling, and class. Support the curriculum plans with the co-teaching team and initiate and implement parts of the curriculum.
Help build a collaborative, cooperative, and reflective approach to working as a classroom teaching team.
Participate in observing and recording methods, assessment practices, and management support related to
individual children, small groups, and the whole class.
Gain skills and understanding of progressive education approaches supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and
physical growth and development of particular age groups.
Develop skills and confidence in working with families, including aspects of home-school communication through emails, conferences, and report writing.
Attend and participate in weekly team meetings, collaborating with the weekly agenda.
Helped design, organize, and maintain a materials-based classroom that reflected the curriculum and current work of the children. This includes daily classroom morning set-up and evening clean-up.
We communicate with parents to learn more about each child's life outside the classroom.
Experience working in person during the pandemic. Knowledge of changes in the Department of Health and Social
They are creating reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school. Serves as a mentor for the assistant teacher. Work well in teams.
Toddler Lead Teacher Requirements:
Experience teaching children in the infant or toddler age group.
Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word.
Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
Physical requirements must include being able to lift children (30-40 lbs.), having good stamina, and keeping up with the children.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay AT: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour; Pay for Lead: could start at $24.00, depending on credentials and experience.
