Part-Time Administrative and Event Support
The Academy for Jewish Religion California, a WASC accredited, 501 (c)(3) religious institution, trains 21st century Jewish professionals for a vibrant 21st century Judaism. We are seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Administrative and Events Support person to assist our friendly and dedicated team.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responding to phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate people
Assisting in major event planning (graduation ceremonies, triannual retreats, fundraising events, and other community gatherings) including communication with venues, catering, invoice processing, etc.
Processing donation letters and other correspondence as part of our advancement efforts.
Assistance in maintaining database of donors, alumni, students, and leadership
Ability to provide Zoom support for online education and programmatic events.
Qualifications:
Experience in office administration
Comfort with Microsoft and Google Suite of Applications
Familiarity with WordPress or similar website programs
Facility with Creative Cloud programs
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
20 hours a week - ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-3 and Wednesdays 9-5, occasional remote work available.
$25/hour
P/T benefits including access to medical insurance and PTO.
