Position Overview
itrek seeks a Grants and Foundations Associate to develop strategies, prepare grant proposals and reports, and assist with other written communications to donors and prospects. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and overall communicator with an eye for detail and organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the grant process, including preparing and submitting proposals and reports to itrek’s institutional partners and prospective partners
Handle various Development-related communications on behalf of the CEO and CGO
Strategize for, participate in and oversee follow-up from meetings (virtual and in-person) with several institutional partners
Provide prospect research on current and prospective foundations, and other donors and prospects as needed
Partner with the Finance team to supply budget-related information aligned with proposals’ and reports’ narratives
Maintain current records in database and project management tools, including grant tracking and reporting
Provide assistance on other fundraising projects, including tasks related to alumni fundraising and major gift fundraising
Profile and Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years professional experience with a focus on writing
Passion for itrek’s mission
Ability to synthesize information and write persuasively
Strong interpersonal and communications skills in English
Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
Proactive and self-driven, while also able to collaborate across teams
Excitement to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, committed team
