Philanthropic Fundraising Campaign Associate
Location: Dallas, TX 75230
The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas seeks a driven, dynamic individual and an enthusiastic fundraiser who thrives on building & stewarding relationships. This person will spend time cultivating and developing donors & volunteer leadership, working closely with volunteers to maximize philanthropy among young adults and professionals in the Dallas metroplex Jewish community.
The FRD associate will take a lead role in peer-to-peer fundraising efforts for the Jewish Federation; this role also involves planning and executing various fundraising events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identifies and cultivates donor prospects, and stewards new/existing donors to grow the donor base, managing a personal portfolio of prospects/donors. Builds relationships and secures both new and repeat annual gifts through face-to-face and phone conversations and messages.
• Recruits and effectively trains volunteer fundraisers and event/program organizers, targeting those with leadership potential
• Organizes and executes fundraising events
• Manages Ben Gurion Society (benefactors under 40 giving $1000+ annually) and the Professional Division Giving Society (over 40, $2,000 - $3,599), including outreach and events to engage this cohort
• Manages Young Adult Division (22-40), including committee, and outreach/events to engage this cohort and deepen involvement in the work of the Federation, including FRD
• Welcomes new individuals to the community and funnels them to Jewish Federation programs and events
• Documents interactions and manages constituent profiles in donor CRM system, including moves management tracking
• Works in partnership with the Federation marketing department to implement and maintain young adult online and social media presence, and to create and edit content for eblasts
• With Federation support staff, assures the completion of administrative duties required to support FRD work, including data maintenance, pledge processing, event and meeting logistics, social networking, and more
Required Skills, Abilities and Characteristics:
• Ability to cultivate relationships with volunteers and donors that result in leadership and financial commitment to Jewish Federation
• Strong emotional intelligence, communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a leader and as part of a team
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of volunteer/professional dynamics and ability to respectfully hold others accountable.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Capacity to manage and organize information confidentially
• Proficient in Windows environment, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years experience in a development role in a nonprofit organization or sales role in a for-profit organization
• Knowledge of the Jewish community, customs and traditions, including knowledge of Israel
• Understanding of, appreciation and passion for the mission of Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas
Travel:
Occasional travel throughout the Dallas Metroplex area, nationally for conferences, and internationally for missions.
