Lead the fight against antisemitism and delegitimization of Israel

A joint initiative from a broad coalition of national Jewish American organizations is seeking an Outreach and Communications Coordinator to assist in its weekly activities.
Our candidate will be a concise and strategic writer, editor and researcher focusing on current events and issues concerning antisemitism and Israel. They will assist in the weekly drafting of a national newsletter and follow through with its distribution to a growing national network of subscribers. Our candidate will also possess natural people skills and devote half the week to outreach efforts developing new subscriber relationships.
While the position is not a PR role, candidates with a strong media relations background may be particularly suited to the position’s blend of writing and outreach – minus the pressure of generating constant media coverage. Duties include influencer research and outreach, mailing list management, and editorial support.
Skills required:
- At least 1-2 years of prior work experience in a related position
- Knowledge of Jewish community organizations, campus groups or organizations, traditional and social media landscape (Jewish and broader) and domestic politics is preferred
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong online research skills
- Fluency with primary social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to take direction and work well with others
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of all aspects of MailChimp or Constant Contact
- Solid computer skills, including the ability to format drag-and-drop newsletter templates and graphics
Interest in Jewish and Israel-related current events is essential.
This is a full-time position. Occasional after-hours or weekend attendance at select events may be requested.
