We seek an experienced early childhood educator who knows and loves children and is committed to creating that warm environment that we are known for, while also offering a wealth of skill-building activities. We offer the opportunity to use your creativity to create an engaging, predominantly play-based but also skills-rich curriculum with help from an experienced assistant teacher and supportive colleagues.
Job responsibilities include: Manage a class of up to 14 three-year-olds using routines, clear expectations, and positive behavior strategies-while avoiding the use of punishments, time-outs, yelling, and rewards.
We especially encourage applications from candidates with the knowledge and ability to implement a Jewish curriculum including teaching about Shabbat and Jewish holidays along with related songs, stories, cooking activities, crafts, and experiential activities.

Candidates should have NYS Certification or be working towards it, on a study plan. Masters degree in Education or working towards it, preferred.
2+years of head-teaching experience in a preschool strongly preferred. Writing proficiency is required.

References will be checked and background check performed.
Must be available to teach from 8-1 four days, and one day until 2 pm for a team meeting, faculty meetings once/month until 3:30, and some additional work outside of those hours for parent/teacher conferences, writing a weekly newsletter, and general prep.

All staff must wear a mask at all times while in the building. The Department of Health requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
