CHANA, a program of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is seeking a full time Development Manager to be responsible for directing, managing, and producing development and communication activities for CHANA to include individual giving, corporate and individual sponsorships and private funding through funds and foundations. This is a hybrid position, which means you can work in the office and remotely, Monday through Friday.
The Development Manager supports the Director of Programs and the Executive Director by working closely with CHANA’s lay leadership, in particular the lay leader of development. You will also be responsible for assisting with the organization’s website, social media and print donor newsletter, as well as collateral publications when needed.
What you will do:
Developing strategic direction, manage and implement annual giving to CHANA to include individual giving from board members and established donors
Securing corporate and individual sponsorship and manage the development plan for CHANA’s fundraising events and programs
Researching, writing, and reporting on grants from private funders and foundations while also broadening CHANA’s private grant reach to include new dollars for projects that fit within the purview of CHANA’s strategic plan
Writing CHANA’s quarterly newsletter and assist with social media and website copy and updates
Managing Development Lay Committee and work closely with Board Members as needed
Full responsibility of monitoring and managing the development budget
Defining development goals, provide direction and track progress
Who you are:
The proud owner of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Backed by 5 + years of work-related experience managing individual giving, corporate and individual sponsorships and private funding through funds and foundations.
Skilled problem-solver with excellent responsiveness and follow-through.
Demonstrated track record of managing complex relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact comfortably and effectively with a wide range of constituents, including professionals, management, donors, and volunteers.
Exceptional time management skills and written and oral communication skills.
Flexible and can easily adapt to change and learn new processes quickly.
Knowledge of the Baltimore Jewish community.
