UChicago Hillel seeks a dynamic and thoughtful team member with a talent for managing staff, programs, and operations to serve as its next Director of Jewish Student Life (DJSL). Reporting to and working closely alongside the Executive Director & Rabbi, the DJSL will be responsible for initiating and executing a wide variety of programming that fulfills the core values articulated by the Hillel community. The DJSL will also support the work of staff and student leaders both undergraduate and graduate, implementing both small-group and large-scale programs and initiatives. This position reports to the Executive Director and Rabbi to establish specific goals and evaluate progress on an ongoing basis.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, is a self-starter with knowledge of program planning and implementation, has an independent and task-oriented work style, and is enthusiastic about cultivating interpersonal relationships and rapport with diverse student populations.
