Clinical Director
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33351
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director will be accountable for the administration, and oversight of JAFCO’s Clinical Programs including Foster Care, Adoption, Family Preservation, MST, Senior Caregiver, Forever Friends, Residential and Outpatient Programs located at the Children’s Village.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This person’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Monitoring and overseeing work assignments to ensure that service delivery is performed according to the agency’s mission, policy and procedures, and service philosophy
• Overseeing all clinical cases and clinical programs served by the Children’s Village
• Superior clinical skills as demonstrated by understanding methods, practices, and therapies beneficial for the treatment of the agency clientele and the ability to communicate and implement best practices to all clinical programs
• Providing ongoing clinical supervision to all clinical staff and interns who provide individual, family and/or group therapy to any child and/or family member in all programs
• Demonstrate an understanding of and competence in serving clinically and culturally diverse populations
• High energy level, superior interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Mindfully integrate the Trauma Informed Care Model and Person-Centered Approach into all procedures, practices, and daily interactions
• Provide focused leadership, clinical supervision and support to all clinicians and maintain supervision tracking system for all programs
• Ensure supervision is provided to all clinical and operations staff and documented in accordance with agency policies and procedures and related regulations
• Conducting periodic and annual reviews of all clinical staff and student interns
• Conducting all intake assessments, treatment planning and interventions, discharge and transition planning and after-care services for all persons served
• Ensure a high level of quality care and services for JAFCO clients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff
• Supervising all court related activity and recommendations made by the agency
• Providing back-up support and availability for on-call supervisors for all programs 24/7
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling or other degree in a related field in which the emphasis has been on Behavioral Sciences
• Licensed Clinician by the Department of Professional Regulations in Florida
• The Clinical Director should have a minimum of seven years of experience in an agency or equivalent experience which demonstrates expertise in clinical and supervisory areas
• A demonstrated ability to utilize oral and writing skills (e.g., exemplary proficiency in the use of the English language including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition.) The Director of Operations and Clinical Services will be required to have or develop a high degree of proficiency in the use of dictation and recording procedures. The Director of Operations and Clinical Services will also be required to have an ability to implement effective and efficient case management, reporting, recording and correspondence
• A working knowledge of human development and behavior, current therapeutic techniques (e.g., including individual, group and family counseling fields, behavioral analysis and intervention, systems analysis, and intervention)
• An ability to effectively supervise and consult with staff regarding the above, as well as an ability to maintain an open-door policy for staff
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must maintain Bodily Injury Liability insurance of $100,000 per claim, $300,000 per incident on their personal automobile when driving clients and their children
